The Assumption of Mary

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrates a matter of faith that is so important for us, as Catholics, that it is a holy day of obligation.  This solemnity is a holy day that celebrates Mary, the mother of Jesus, being assumed bodily into heaven.  The feast day is Wednesday, August 15.  Mass for our Pastoral Area will be celebrated as follows: 
 8:30 a.m.        St. John Neumann Church
 Noon               Corpus Christi Church
 7:00 p.m.        St. John Baptist Church

Pastoral Area Food Pantry
       
 Pastoral Area Food Pantry is located at
 Corpus Christi Church.

 2014 Springdale Road, 45231, (513) 825-0618
 
 Hours of Operation:
 Monday morning:   10 am - 11:30 am
 Tuesday evening:   6 pm - 7:30 pm
 Thursday morning: 10 am - 11:30 am
 
 Documentation needed:  at each visit bring a current Ohio Driver/non-Drive Photo ID
and Utility Bill dated within 30 days.
 At first visit bring:  Current dated piece of mail for all adults in household 18 and older 
and Birth certificate for all children in household under 18 years of age.

The mission of the Pastoral Area Food Pantry is to serve those with compassion and respect and with a Christ-like servant attitude.  We remain open to listening and working diligently to meet the needs of the individuals and families in our community.

The Food Pantry is a collaboration between the Cincinnati Freestore/Foodbank and our 3 parishes. The Pantry doors are open to those who live in the boundaries of all 3 parishes, and the boundaries established by the Freestore/Foodbank.  Many volunteers are available to help the guests select food and non-food essentials.
 
 
Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities of SouthWestern Ohio is approaching 100 years of service to Southwestern Ohio. While the services and programs they provide have changed through the years, their commitment to serving those in need has been a constant hallmark of their agency. The services are open to anyone in the community regardless of religion, race, gender, or national origin.

Stewardship

Stewardship starts with God and His abundance. Our infinite God is the source of infinite abundance. All too often, however, we have a "scarcity mentality." All we can see is what we lack, what we need, what we want. The focus is not on God and His ability to provide for all our needs.
